Keywords

For detailed searching of the articles on this website, you can use the Google Content Search Engine (CSE) on our Search page.

However, there is a quicker way of searching and grouping articles, which is to use the keywords or labels that have been coded into each article - for example, if you want to see all articles featuring coastal walks or cathedrals.

The disadvantage of using the Blogger/Blogspot tools for this is that they were really designed for short blog-posts, so that selecting a keyword will immediately display all the articles that have that keyword. Given that most Personal Britain are quite long, this can result in many pages of full-length articles concatenated together! (A simple list of the articles which have a common keyword, from which the user could select, would be much better for us...)

A similar problem exists with the default Blogger Search Engine - which is why we haven't used that, but have opted for the Google CSE - even though that carries its own disadvantage and displayed adverts associated with the search text, before you get a list of the results...

Blogger/Blogspot does not allow the Keywords engine to be output to a normal article (all our attempts have resulted in the engine crashing :-O) so we have output the list of labels to the section immediately below. The listing is alphabetical.

Just click on a keyword to search on that word or phrase.
